Terms of Service

Welcome to Quant Interview Copilot operated by Quant Interview Copilot LLC (“Company”, “we”, “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our websites, desktop/mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1) Eligibility & Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the Services. If you are under the age of majority, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and accepted these Terms.

When you create an account, you must provide accurate information and keep it up-to-date. You are responsible for all activities under your account and for safeguarding your credentials. Notify us immediately of unauthorized use.

If your account is provisioned by an institution (e.g., university/employer), your use may be subject to that organization's policies and our agreement with them.

2) License & Access

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Services for personal, educational, or non-commercial preparation purposes, subject to these Terms.

You may not: (a) copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Services; (b) reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where permitted by law; (c) rent, lease, sell, sublicense, or otherwise transfer rights to the Services; or (d) circumvent technical protections.

3) User Content & AI Features

User Content includes prompts, questions, answers, transcripts, uploads, feedback, and other materials you submit. You retain ownership of your User Content.

You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, display, and create derivative works from your User Content solely to operate and improve the Services, provide features (including AI generation/scoring), comply with law, and enforce policies. This license ends when your content is deleted from our systems subject to Section 11 (Retention).

You represent and warrant that you have all rights necessary to submit the User Content and that your submission does not violate law or third-party rights.

AI/Model Providers: To deliver features, we may send your inputs to our AI models and trusted third-party model providers under contract.

Automated Outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for verifying AI outputs and for your use of them.

4) Acceptable Use & Academic Integrity

You agree not to use the Services to:

  • Violate laws or the rights of others.
  • Upload or share infringing, unlawful, or harmful content (including malware).
  • Attempt to access non-public areas, disrupt, probe, or overload the Service.
  • Bypass or disable any security or usage restrictions.

We may monitor for abuse and enforce these Terms, including by suspending or terminating accounts. Certain features (e.g., integrity/proctoring signals) may be enabled by your organization or by you with notice.

5) Software, Updates, and Beta Features

The Services may automatically download and install updates. From time to time, we may offer beta or experimental features that are provided “as is” and may be changed or discontinued at any time.

6) Third-Party Services

The Services may integrate with or link to third-party products (e.g., coding platforms, cloud storage, SSO providers, payment processors). We are not responsible for third-party services; their terms and privacy policies apply. If you enable integrations, you authorize us to exchange information as necessary to provide the integration.

7) Subscriptions, Trials, and Payments

Certain features require a paid subscription. Prices, features, and limits are described at purchase and may change prospectively.

We may offer free trials or promotional periods, after which billing begins unless you cancel.

Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers. Taxes may apply.

8) Intellectual Property

The Services, including software, content, user interfaces, and brand elements, are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. Except for the limited license in Section 2, no rights are granted to you.

Feedback: If you provide feedback or suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use them without restriction or compensation.

9) Privacy

Your use of the Services is subject to our Privacy Policy. The policy explains how we collect, use, and share information, including with AI/Model Providers.

10) DMCA & IP Complaints

If you believe content infringes your rights, send a notice containing: (a) your contact information; (b) identification of the work and allegedly infringing material; (c) a statement of good-faith belief; (d) a statement under penalty of perjury; and (e) your physical or electronic signature to team@quantinterviewcopilot.com We may remove content and, for repeat infringement, terminate accounts.

11) Data Retention & Backups

We retain information for the period necessary to provide the Services and for legitimate business/legal purposes (e.g., accounting, security, fraud prevention). Deleted content may persist in backups for a limited time. We may retain de-identified/aggregated data.

12) Disclaimers

THE SERVICES AND ALL CONTENT (INCLUDING AI OUTPUTS) ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.

13) Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW: (A) WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL; AND (B) OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (i) AMOUNTS PAID BY YOU TO US FOR THE SERVICES IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (ii) US$100.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusions/limitations above; in those cases, they apply only to the extent permitted by law.

14) Indemnification

You will indemnify and hold harmless the Company and our affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to (a) your User Content; (b) your use of the Services; or (c) your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

15) Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time (with or without notice) if we believe you have violated these Terms, pose a risk, or for operational reasons. You may stop using the Services at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., 3, 8–16, 18–21) will survive.

16) Changes to the Services & to These Terms

We may modify or discontinue features at any time. We may update these Terms; material changes will be notified via the Service or email with the effective date. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

17) Governing Law & Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of Florida, United States without regard to conflicts of law principles. The exclusive jurisdiction and venue for disputes will be the courts located in Miami, Florida unless otherwise required by law.

18) Dispute Resolution; Arbitration; Class-Action Waiver (Optional)

At our or your election, any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Services will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by AAA (American Arbitration Association) under its rules. You and we waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action. You may opt out within 30 days of account creation by emailing team@quantinterviewcopilot.com with your name and the email associated with your account. Nothing prevents either party from seeking injunctive relief in court for misuse of IP or breach of confidentiality.

19) Export & Sanctions

You may not use or export the Services in violation of U.S. export laws or applicable sanctions. You represent that you are not located in, under the control of, or a national/resident of any embargoed country or prohibited party list.

20) App Store Terms (If Applicable)

If you downloaded the app from Apple App Store or Google Play, their terms and policies also apply. Apple/Google are not responsible for maintenance or support of the app and have no warranty obligations. You must comply with applicable App Store terms.

21) Enterprise/Institutional Users

Where an organization provides your access, the organization may (a) control and administer your account, (b) access and process your data, and (c) set policies that apply to your use. Our agreement with the organization governs in the event of conflict with these Terms.

22) Miscellaneous

Entire Agreement: These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and referenced policies are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Services.

Severability: If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder will remain in effect.

Assignment: You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our consent; we may assign to an affiliate or in connection with a merger or sale.

No Waiver: Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.

Notices: We may provide notices by email, in-product messages, or posting to our site.
